"The specially designed lamps reflect the organic terrace shapes of the rice fields in Indonesia," explains Gerard van der Stelt. "To create all the shapes and lines, every component of the fixture was hand-bent. A very labour-intensive task." The fixture provides both uplight and downlight through Luxendi’s LED strips.
The church has been fitted with pendant fixtures and indirect dynamic light lines around the roof and the choir walls. This lighting is controllable via a DALI signal, allowing both the pendant fixtures and the linear lighting to be managed in various colour combinations as well as functional white. For the production of the pendant fixtures, Luxendi supplied the individual PCBs, drivers, and controllers.
